what are necromancers?

necromancers are a type of wizard with a yellow aura and dark shade. we do death magic. there's other types of wizard (about 8 or 9 depending on who you're asking) but my site is about necromancers so let's not fuck around.

how can i hide my necromancy?

the easy answer is to pretend you aren't a wizard. but if you have to pass yourself off as a legal wizard, then you can pretend you're an alchemist.

alchemists are the legal counterpart of necromancers. they bond to a particular non-living material, and most importantly, their magic is also yellow. so if nobody gets nosy you can pass yourself off as a plastic alchemist, or a jello alchemist. or something.

what are my options?

there's three main types of necromancy.

physical (dry)

bones and bone byproducts. skellingtons.

pros: bones are the easiest material a necromancer can use, and the cleanest, once they're degreased.

cons: degreasing bones is hard, and if another wizard catches you with bones, you've got no plausible deniability. you're fucked.

physical (wet)

meat. zombies.

pros: easier to get meat. takes less prep. no one will be suspicious that you own meat.

cons: meat rots, so don't get attached to your projects. harder to pass yourself off as an alchemist.

ethereal

ghosts n shit.

pros: ghosts are everywhere and invisible to most people. they're easy to get and won't get you busted.

cons: ghosts are everywhere and invisible to most people. it's entirely possible that ghosts will start harassing you in public and you won't be able to respond to them without looking insane.

the biggest con: if you do not have physical abilities, you will not be able to pass yourself as an alchemist. for all intents and purposes you'll have to live as a normal person, out of the eye of wizards.
